Box Packaging for Folding Cartons

For a lot of people, folding cartons are a great way to improve the boxes that you have. With different paper boxes that are foldable, and even trendy too, this is a choice a lot of industries have. While the boxes are seen normally as a paper packaging for a lot of foodstuffs, medicines, electronics, and cosmetics also use this.

Because of the paperboard used to make this, it does accommodate the size, and even the shapes of other products. But we’re also going to look at the definition and other aspects of the folding carton, so you can figure out if this is the best product for you to use.

What it is

Now, to tell you a little more about the folding carton, we have the definition here.

It’s a type of packaging made of paperboard, which is popular in a lot of commercial products due to the versatility and the low weight that’s there.

Usually used as a form of secondary packaging, these are foldable paper items, which are made for assembling on one singular flat sheet, and then becomes a more three-dimensional type of packaging, which makes them better for a lot of cost-effective means in order to transport them, due to the fact that they’re shipped in a flatter means before they’re put together, offering more customizability too.

Rigid or Corrugated

There are some different types of these, which include the rigid boxes, or folded carton options. There are some differences that are there, and here, we’ll go over the differences of both

Rigid boxes tend to have no setup, if they aren’t foldable, a sturdiness to them, a high product safety, and usually tent to be higher in costs. However, they have a higher appeal, and are also reusable.

For folded carton boxes, you do need to set this up, and there is a low sturdiness to them as well. they also do need inserts to have some sturdiness to them.  They usually are appealing depending on the finish and print; however this can also eat up costs too in some cases. But compared the corrugated and rigid boxes, you do not have the reusability that comes with the others.

Types and Materials

[When it comes to materials, the most common one that’s used for this is a paperboard that’s made directly from the wood pulp, which is eco-friendly and a renewable source for a lot of people. But there are ones that are higher in grade, and even certified paperboard types that also meet medical and food standards too if needed.

You can also get those that are made from 100% post-consumer recyclable materials, or reclaimed paper stock, both of which are great options.  Both of these are good, and you should consider both. However, there are also styles too that come in different selections, and even different box types too.

How They Stand to the Rest

Overall, they’re great if you want something that also works well if you’re trying to offset some of the boosts, and you want something that’s sustainable, and pretty versatile, since there are some different sizes and shapes to them, and tend to be cheaper to manufacture, provided you’re not spending a bunch of money on printing.

They’re also great for recycling, as they’re usually totally recyclable. They also work well with digital printing, and other means

However, there is usually little reusability to them, and compared to others, they might not be as strong, but they do stack up as great options for those looking to get the right packaging products for themselves.
